Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cups of vermicelli/noodles
2 tablespoons cooking oil
100 g of butter
cup sugar
2 tablespoons cardamom powder
2 generous pinches of saffron
4 eggs beaten
Directions:
In a wide pan, heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil and add 1/3 of the raw vermicelli. Lightly fry vermicelli until it gets dark, golden brown color. Constantly stir alli with a spoon, so it won't burn. Then add enough water to boil the fried raw vermicelli.Once the water starts to boil, add the rest of non-fried vermicelli and cook for just 3-4 minutes and then drain. Place back into the pot and add to it butter, cardamom powder, sugar and saffron. Mix all with the vermicceli and place on a small fire for about 10 min or until the sugar melts.
Serve vermicelli hot on a large dish.
Serve with omelet, for that:
Heat about 3 tablespoons cooking oil and then when getting very hot add the beaten eggs. Tip the pan around to spread the uncooked egg. When dry on top, turn the egg omelet over and cook for one minute more and top the vermicelli.

Khaleejia said: We met Emarati munshid Ahmed Al Mansori who's popularity is rapidly growing day by day. Enjoyig his voice and meaningful Islamic songs anasheed firstly from his site http://almansori.net Youtube and Anghami (an android application) we got chance to see his Live performance in different events such as symposium dedicated to the National Day & Winning of Dubai Expo 2020 organized by Dubai Police.
His talent is impressive, beautiful voice with unique ability to replay any melody that he just hear. Ahmed Al Mansori is our local and we hope soon will be an international star who proudly present the cultural and Islamic values.
To know more about his life & ideas, Ahmed answered all our questions exclusively for Khaleejia's Life readers.
When did your adventure with music start? When you were a child, in teenage years or later? Do you play any musical instruments?
I become a singer since high school when I've been
discovered by one of my teachers back then. I started to sing in the morning
queue after that I had to join the Enshad band to sing the songs. When I join
the college I found new band then I became a member.
How did you get into singing anasheed? Was there some role
models who inspired you to become a nasheed singer? What nasheed singers of today
do you like? Do you sing in English? If not do you plan to? What do you think
of famous nasheed singers like Sami Yusuf, Yusuf Islam, Dawud Wharnsby
Ali, Zain Bhikha etc?
My example was the Kuwaiti singer Mohammed Alhesian and my
favorite songs at this time it’s the Sami Yousif collection specially Moealem
and Maher Zeen with In Shaa Allah song.
I never sing in English which I'm planning to do in
future. International singers reached the big stage of proliferation and
influence in the audience, and this shows in the selection of their
intelligence work that fits the community in which they live, and reflects the
large desire of the public to listen to such aimed acts.
Would you like to collaborate with any other local or
international nasheed artists?
Of course I am
ready to deal with any singer, whether at the local or global situation.
When you
just started your journey who was there to offer you the most support and
encouragement from among your family or friends? Do you rely a lot on
their support and opinion of what you do now? If your children
wanted to choose singing nasheed as a career would you support them?
I Started my journey in professional singing after
graduating from college, where I opened my own studio, to implement my art, and
cooperate with institutions within inside or outside the country, to create a
national songs and privet songs especially for weddings, birth and so on.
I found great support from my family and friends, where I
had to listen to their opinions about my work, and also Benefited from their
suggestions about topics that I pose in my work. If one of my sons wanted to
turn to the area of the anthem certainly I will not mind.
Do you like to perform live? What other countries do you want to perform in?
Of course I would love to sing (Live), and the country's
that I love to sing in are Egypt, Indonesia, Oman and London.
In which countries did you perform and how did the
audience receive you in different countries? Are you happy to see Muslims of
different nationalities and cultures, different backgrounds loving what you do
and celebrating their faith when going to your performances. What countries did
you like most when making a tour?
I found a huge welcome in the countries where I travel,
and this reflects their great vulnerability and follow-up to my work, it gives
me joy and more sense of responsibility. Of course I'm happy when I see people
of different nationalities and cultures like my work. The must countries that I
would love to travel to is Turkey, Malaysia and Switzerland.
Through your work as a famous nasheed singer do you feel also as an ambassador of Emirati culture to the world? If yes, in which ways does it show?
I definitely feel that I am ambassador for my country in
any place I go I show my commitment, my accent and my UAE local dress, and
certainly good communicate with others.
7) What would
be your personal message to the readers of Khaleejia's Life who are admiring
UAE people and the culture.
Last message to my readers is thanks to them first, and
then to emphasize that the UAE has become the country of peace and safety, with
over 200 nationalities living on its soil with love and harmony.

AUTUMN-WINTER 2013-2014 "EMARATYAH" ABAYA STYLE TRENDS
Khaleejia said: UAE becoming the world’s
fashion hotspot. Probably the reason of this is that local designers have to follow the global mode trends which they masterfully implement into the
traditional outfit.
Such combination made Emirati style to stand out among the other countries' dress code culture.
Yes we do have very conservative opinion saying that Abaya should not change it's original black color or shape.
Though, now Abaya it is not only a traditional dress but also a fashionable tool in the hands of the local fashionistas. Which helps to express their personalities, taste and positive attitude to the community's values.
Khaleejia's Life friend beauty editor Al-Reem Saif is our local fashion star who we consider is one of the best in representing fashion & abaya fashion in the country through her collaboration with different local abaya designers, social activities, personal style and due to her work.. read more about her life in one of our tête-à-tête interview here.

Groomig for the National Day. Number 1 Henna & Beauty salon in UAE.
Khaleejia said: Preparing to the UAE National day celebrations that are already started across the country, we scheduled our appointment to one of the best salon in Jumeira for some necessary beauty treatments as we could not risk before such a special occasion. We chose Al Marasim, the salon with 20 years good reputation in the UAE. And for our luck when we entered it, the owner Mrs. Sharon Sephora was there too, welcoming every visitor on her own! With a beautiful smile this amazing woman treated us at her best just as she does for each and every customer.
The list of services was long and among the most important henna design & manicure, we was offered an exclusive facial with gold treatment, authentic massage with hot ginger and professional makeup.
Great choice that later became the best experience. Though before we started we was served with some welcoming drinks, warm smiles from everyone and light chat about the salon and life achievement with this wise woman Mrs. Sharon.
It is always interesting to know what is the idea behind.
Madam Sefora told us that she loves and respect UAE for letting her achieve what she has now. She is very grateful to the UAE nationals for their attitude, support and high class taste which affected her work directly as Al Marasim is mainly oriented for the local clients. "Everything here is done to make any local woman feel secure, cared and happy."-says Sharon.
Though Al Marasim became a favorite place among all nationalities who live in UAE and love being treated at the top level. "I am from Belgium but live in Dubai. Since first time i visited Al Marasim, I love this salon, mostly for the attitude and services. They can do everything i need and very professional."- Afra, a loyal customer, shares with us her reasons why she loves Al Marasim , .
In every beauty room Emarati, Europeans, Asians.. all ladies who had their sessions were chatting about fashion, beauty & life staff in a very friendly atmosphere and you feel that you don't want to leave the place at all..
Sharon showed us her henna majlis and told us in a secret that her henna considered to be one of the best in GCC, as she gets orders from these countries. Moreover her staff is trained by her personally. They are taught not only to the techniques but also to the creativity and responsibility. As every line that is applied on to the ladies hand can make her more happy and more beautiful or opposite can become a reason of her bad mood and disappointment."
When we entered one of the henna majlis-room we saw a huge group of henna artists working on designs for the UAE National day! So beautiful artwork! If you want to have your special Eid and Yom AlWatanii henna, we think there is no better place to go.
Al Marasim Salon has VIP service with a very convenient price that makes this salon attractive as at the end of the day everyone is looking for the proper attitude and high quality. The branches are open in UAE Dubai, Sharjah, Fujeira; in Dubai the luxurious branch located in Jumeira and soon in January 2014 will be opened another branch in Rashidia as well. Al Marasim has also two branches in India.
