  4. Beauty is described differently by every person though these ladies are gorgeous!! I am more on the minimal side of the equation though mashallah, they are dressed to impress! I totally dig the bags and some of the outifts. sf

  6. Dear Khaleejia: I love loooove love your blog! I just started reading it and really enjoy the fashion and beauty tips. I am a Western gal who has traveled frequently to the Middle East on business trips, have lots of friends there, and really like getting to know modern culture. I have a question for you though, I realize you specialize in Khaleeji life - I'm going on a business trip to Riyadh (my first time in Saudi!) next month and everyone warns me that in regards to wearing abaya there it is very conservative (i.e. no designs, etc.) I love fashion but am unfamiliar with abaya/niqab cuts/designs and am just dipping my toes into it. What can I get away wearing in Riyadh that's fashionable but still acceptable? Can I get away making a plain conservative abaya and niqab still look good without getting in trouble for it? What do you recommend for the lady traveling to Saudi? If you could provide a post on this I would be eternally grateful!

    Your New Fan,
    "Lost In Riyadh"

  8. I don't know what such a big fuss with someone that it's not Emirati. Emiratis have lost their culture and identity so much that they not only don't care about what others wear but also are being represented by Indians. They should start to be a bit more careful and start to preserve their culture. They should at least start by becoming an arab speaking country and not an English one.
