Mashaa'Allah 3alaiha -- i love the ones that are so loose that they just drape ever so gracefully... OMG i sound like a wannabe poet... #2 is my fave <3
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments sisters!
ReplyDeleteRoudah -none of these abayat has a hood. Hooded abayat are veeeeery rare you won't normally see them in abaya shops. I never run into hooded abayat- just regular shoulder abayat with matching sheilas.
Pic 6 - is quite easy. You'll need to tie your hair on the back in a big bun or pin it with a big hair clip to create volume. This style hijab won't look same on a flat head. Then you will need a chiffon sheila which you just wrap loosely around the head- if you want it exactly like on that pic- then you pull it back to open half of your head and hair :S Just take a sheila- get a mirror, look at the pic for inspiration and practice.
there are several khaleeji hijab tutorials on youtube. You can watch those, some are really helpful and step by step. search under "khaleeji hijab", "loose hijab" Some of the tutorials:

I hope that helps and you'll succeed.
thnx so much habibty...i have seen those tutorials but they not the same as emarati hijab with the hair clip...is there any websites that have emarati shehla tutorials?

Salaams!
ReplyDeleteI just got bck from Dubai and if there is one thing i never tire from is looking at all of the amazing abaya designs!!!! They are never ending. Now, I love the new burqa designs with the many ruffled layers of chifon and how some drape down 8 layers in length! Fourtunately, I have a Saudi husband who is very into fashion and will have some made for me in Saudia ( cheaper then what they were selling in UAE). I haven't been back a week and i miss being there so much!
Umm Zacharia I wish MY husband was into fashion at least a little bit (a crying smilie in this place)
ReplyDeleteLucky you mashallah :)
